The Most Advanced Dental Technology
Morrison Dental in Bluffton is one of the few dental practices in the Lowcountry to offer CEREC (CERamic REConstruction or Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) technology. By using highly sensitive 3-D imaging software, Morrison Dental can efficiently and cost-effectively restore damaged teeth using a ceramic material that matches your teeth’s natural color. And we can do it in about an hour!
In addition to protecting and preserving the patient’s natural structural integrity, Perfectly bonded porcelain ensures restorations that are seamlessly matched with your natural teeth and guaranteed long life. Here’s how CEREC makes it possible to have a temporary restoration put on your tooth in just one visit to Morrison Dental in Bluffton:
- The defective filling and decay is removed. A reflective powder layer prepares the tooth for imaging.
- An optical 3D image is acquired with a small camera placed directly in your mouth.
- The restoration is created on the screen using the image data.
- Diamond coated instruments mill a ceramic block to reproduce the design.
- After polishing, the new restoration fits precisely with your natural teeth.
- A unique light hardens the bonding material and unites porcelain and tooth.
You have to see CEREC to believe it! Call Morrison Dental to find out more about this technology that makes one-visit dentistry a possibility!
